I do! I offer both in home (and even virtual consultations if you prefer!), and if neither of these is an option, we can meet at a neutral location at a time and place convenient to you.
The initial consultation is where I come and meet you and your dog at your home (if they are comfortable with that). Then we fill out some forms so I can get their full history down and we look at achievable goals for training. I then create a customized training plan for you. When you receive the plan and have read through it, we schedule your Free Hour long Training Session for a week or two later.
I work hard to price my services fairly while still staying affordable in this difficult economy. Currently Initial Consults are priced at $200, this includes the free 1 hour long training session and customized training plan.
My Training is tailored to each Dog & Guardian, other pricing can vary depending on the program needed and on your dog's individual needs.
Packages must be paid in full prior to Sessions beginning, if this is not possible, please opt for the individual pricing. Please enquire via email or messaging for Individual & Multiple Session Package pricing.
Yes! I work with dogs with all sorts of Behavioural conditions. On the Sensitive Dogs page, you can read more about what I offer for Dogs and their unique challenges.
Although sessions are one hour in length, your dog is not working continuously. Much of our time together is spent teaching and supporting you—the human—by building understanding, skills, and strategies, while ensuring your dog remains comfortable and emotionally regulated. We focus on setting the stage for appropriate, lasting learning.
Sessions aren’t usually dramatic—sometimes they can even seem boring—but they are effective. Training is paced to suit your dog’s individual needs, with breaks and flexibility built in. The focus is always on emotional health, safety, and learning that feels sustainable rather than pressured.
I use ethical, scientifically based training methods that promote and employ kind, understanding training that elevates your bond with your dog. The training I use and teach to my clients is Force-Free, Fear-Free and Trauma Informed. I do not use any training tools or techniques that startle or harm your dog physically, psychologically or emotionally.
You must be willing to abandon harmful training if you wish to work with me, this means no Aversive training tools such as physical corrections (shaking, hitting/smacking or leash pops/jerks etc), verbal reprimands (shouting), or aversive devices (e-collars/shock collars, vibrating collars, prong collars, choke chains, spray collars, spray bottles and electric containment fences.)
As a member of the Pet Professional Guild, I take part in Project tRade. This means that you can exchange aversive training and pet care equipment for alternative, more appropriate equipment and educational support. If you'd like to learn more about project tRade, please click here.
While not necessary, tips are greatly appreciated. Any tips given to me go towards treats (sometimes for me and Chise!), toys and equipment for my work. You can tip me via this link: Buy Me a Coffee or via PayPal here .
